Skydance Paramount Will Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to initiate large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further global layoffs are likely, with Paramount Skydance planning to reveal full details via its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.

Prior news suggested that Paramount was looking to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.

Until December 2024, Paramount retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization has not provided a response to a request for comment.
